it's like a science experiment . . . but delicious
when i was in college, my good friend chris polley and i conducted a science experiment surrounding the concept of microwaveable s’mores. living in the dorms, in the dead of winter, we wanted s’mores and we wanted them now! what followed was a science experiment that was in fact quite delicious, if not completely successful.
saturday night/sunday morning i had a dream about another concoction that could lead to a similar delicious experiment, if anyone was so inclined.
the dream involved a dessert burger with a bun made of rice crispy treats and an interior of something chocolate. upon waking with this yummy thought i discussed with nikki the possibilities for what could create this chocolate hamburger.
it needed to be something thick that you could bite into satsifyingly, like a meat burger.
we decided 3 musketeers, with its simple yet decadant nougat filling, would be an adequate ingredient. the problem in conducting this experiment would be forming the chocolate bar and nougat into a circular shape, without completely obliterating the chocolate-nougat-chocolate pattern. do you peel off all the chocolate to get at the nougat? would that work?
i don’t know. but if you want to try it…i would request you let me know how it goes! polley? up for the challenge?
