my company offers these classes. one of them is time management. people are alway signing up for it which confuses me.

time management seems pretty simple.

1. turn off the internet (or whatever distracts you)
2. make a list
3. do the shit you put on the list

is there more to it? am i missing out on key secrets to success?

According to Dr. Jonny Bowen, author of “The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth,” we should be eating:
Beets
Cabbage*
Swiss chard
Cinnamon*
Pomegranate juice
Dried plums*
Pumpkin seeds*
Sardines
Turmeric
Frozen blueberries*
Canned pumpkin
I regularly eat all the starred foods. I’m excited to eat more beets now that they’re almost in season. Last summer I ate them at least once a week: in a tangy mustard dressing, in a cold borscht, and shredded to make pancakes. But apparently, they pack the most punch when eaten raw — all the more reason to wait for the very freshest to appear at the green market.
I’m surprised to find sardines on this list. Dr. Bowden calls them “health food in a can.’’ Yum! Sardines mashed with mustard on toast. Like the idea of that.
Finally, I find it very odd that Dr. Bowen recommends prunes (dried plums) because they are “packed with cancer-fighting antioxidants” but then suggests eating them “wrapped in prosciutto and baked.” Seems like the pork fat and mondo-salt might defeat the purpose.

beets? hmm. they make me think of doug funniebut i’m curious what’s a good way to eat them b/c they also make me nervous. any good recipes floating around out there???

Jake and Amir were featured in this week’s Us magazine, so I happily picked up a copy. While skimming through it I came across an article about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Angie raved about sex in her current pregnant-with-twins condition-“It’s great for the sex life…as a woman you’re just so round and full…”
While it may be true that there’s nothing like having your uterus packed with fetuses to make you feel womanly, I’m sorry, but that part about it being great for the sex life sounds suspicious. She also dished about Brad’s new tattoo: “One night, we didn’t have anything to do, so I was drawing on his back…He just liked it!” She says of the abstract design Pitt had permanently inked. And them there was her special gift from Brad: “Maddox, our six year old, draws a lot of war scenarios, so for Mother’s Day, he drew a machine gun and Brad had it made into a necklace, which is really sweet.”
Some things are really only meant to last until your next shower; others, until another, better machine gun drawing can take its place under the magnet on the refrigerator. That’s why they call them doodles, Brad. Not art. Doodles.
